Howzat! We’re delivering the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup

Sports event management specialist Red Sky at Night Events (RSANE) has been appointed to deliver event production and fan engagement for the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup, which takes place in England during June and July 2017.

Following a competitive tender, ICC and host association ECB chose RSANE as their event production partner for what promises to be the biggest global women’s sporting event of the year; 8 top-ranked international women’s cricket teams compete in 31 one-day format matches across 5 venues, culminating in a final at Lord’s. The ICC Women’s World Cup will showcase the dynamic excitement and skill of elite female cricket, offer a fantastic family day out for cricket and sports fans and reach global audiences in their millions via live broadcast.

Red Sky at Night Events MD Jenny Gilmour, who founded the company in 2002, said “We’re delighted to be working with ICC, ECB and their many sponsors on such a prestigious international sporting event. ‘Who Runs The World?’ is the inspired theme for the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup and this hugely confident expression really energised and inspired our proposals. RSANE has delivered event and fan activation at over 155 international events across the past 15 years and, quite uniquely, we retain the same vastly experienced and skilled core team; this, combined with our meticulous methods, creative flair, digital-savvy and our hard working ethos is what we’re all about”

The Women’s Cricket World Cup is another prestigious sporting event awarded to Red Sky at Night Events this year, following the British National Cycling Championships, which took place at the Manchester Velodrome in January 2017.

Red Sky at Night Events have been appointed to plan and deliver NHS Education for Scotland’s inaugural ‘Scottish Medical Training Careers Fair’. Taking place Saturday 20th September at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the all-day event is expected to attract hundreds of medical school undergraduates and post-grad medical trainees, from Scotland and across the UK, who are considering a medical career in Scotland.

We’re delighted to be managing this high profile event, which is seen as a vital strand of NHS Scotland’s wider START initiative to recruit and retain the best medical talent in Scotland and to fill the many medical specialties which have in recent years proven challenging to fill. The Careers Fair will offer delegates the opportunity to meet exhibitors ranging from the Royal Colleges to Scotland’s Health Boards and to get professional advice on the best training options to pursue their chosen medical career.

We’ve Moved

After 10 years based in and around Edinburgh’s Leith district, Red Sky at Night has moved to Midlothian. Our new office is located in the ‘commuter’ village of Lasswade, just off the Edinburgh city bypass. With Edinburgh’s transport infrastructure in turmoil, getting out of the city for client meetings is becoming a real grind. So we decided on Lasswade as the ideal location. From here we’re only 25 minutes by car or bus to the city centre, 20 minutes to Edinburgh Airport and literally 5 minutes drive from the city bypass.
