England v Argentina International, Old Trafford
We worked with the RFU to create a memorable pre-match entertainment sequence for the Argentina v England International at Old Trafford in June 2009. Opera singers, fireworks and flagbearers all created an electric atmosphere for an equally electric game which saw England beat Argentina 37 points to 15.
To add a Latin American twist to this Argentinian home game we also entertained the crowds with lively samba performances, whilst a traditional brass band gave an English touch to the occasion.
We have created and managed match day entertainment for numerous championship matches at the home of Scottish rugby.
Six Nations Championship, Murrayfield
A particular highlight was the programme we devised for the Calcutta Cup encounter between Scotland and England in 2004. With a stadium roof flame and firework display, over 600 pipers and drummers and the first ever night jump by the Red Devils Parachute Display Team, the spectacular nature of the occasion attracted widespread media praise and included a special feature on BBC's 'Grandstand' show.
Autumn Tests, Murrayfield
From 2000 to 2004, Red Sky at Night was responsible for the match entertainment at all of Scotland's Autumn Tests. |
